AF Finals~

OMG!!!! I really had all the satisfaction when watching Final Akademi Fantasia 8, tonight. Really had a blast one… Tak pernah dalam 8 tahun sejarah Akademi Fantasia, I was fully satisfied after watching the final. But tradisi itu dipecahkan bila I tengok Kosert Final Akademi Fantasia 8 neh. Sgt2 puas hati. From the presenters (Jimmy n Sarimah), to its critics, to its finalist, to its songs, to its performances, to its baju, to its winner, to its everything. It just satisfied me well. Congratulations to AF8 winner, finalist, Pengetua, Crews and Productions for a well done final concert of all AF’s.

First, I would like to comment about the songs for finalist AF8. OMG!!!! All the songs selected was really nice n fit the finalists’ genre. The production of AF 8 was really superb in selecting a good song for a student. Huhu… and the new songs was also superb!

Secondly, I was really satisfied by the hand’s juries decision to put Shahir as a winner, Adira as first runner up, Daus as second runner up, Maulana and Iwan as third n fourth runner up. The result was great. Huhu… Actually, at the first moment, I was aiming for Adira or Shahir to be the winner. Since both of them had a well done performance for the past 10 weeks. But, when watching the final, I think Shahir is deserve to have the title. What he did in the concert was superb n pure.

Third, I would like to comment about each of the finalist performances n also their songs. We start with the winner, Shahir.

1) Shahir : With the songs, “Biru Mata Hitamku” and “Kebahagiaan Dalam Perpisahan”, Shahir did well to capture n mesmerized people with his pure n unique voice. Kebahagiaan dalam perpisahan was the greatest song that suit Shahir well. The lyrics, the song n the voice was all the great deals n package. After the concert, I look at Shahir’s video clip for Kebahagiaan dalam Perpisahan and it was really brilliant idea. Great song, meaningful lyrics, mesmerizing voice n superb video clips make it worth to heard n watch. And when he’s singing Biru Mata Hitamku, it was fabulous. Start up with R & B then it turns to rock, I was amazed by his performance. He really did well for this final concert. And the title winner was worth for him after what he did for the past 10 weeks. Congratulation, Shahir. :)

2) Adira : The only female finalist for AF 8, I think she deserve a first runner up for this AF8. “Tiru Macam Saya” and “Ku Ada Kamu”, two songs that have their own uniqueness to be hits on the radio. When she sing “Ku Ada Kamu”, with that red dress, tidy n long hair, the kids as backup vocals….. all I can say is she is really fabulous. The performance was really great. But, I don’t like when she perform “Tiru Macam Saya” songs. She didn’t be like what she should be. She should give more. Dia macam kaku, n tak gunakan pentas dengan baik. She should be like Lisdawati or better be more than what Lisdawati gave. Lagu “tiru macam saya” ni ala gedik-gedik sikit, ngegeh-ngegeh kata orang Sarawak. ;p she should give more. Tapi dia buat macam ala kadar, macam x cukup pun. Tapi, nak buat macam mana kan, maybe she’s nervous ke apa ke. Takpela. N masa nyanyi lagu neh, dia nyer voice macam agak besar. N I rasa tak berapa menarik bila buat voice macam tu. Suara dia dh cukup besar, tak perlu dibesarkan lagi kot… huhu… pandangan I jek.. heheh.. tapi, apapun, she did well for this final concert. Dia mmg konsisten dari awal lagi. So, dapat tempat kedua, I rasa mmg berbaloi. :)

3) Daus : one of my favourite contestant from Sarawak after bob af2, hafiz and aisyah, af 7. :) before this, orang critic kata vocal Daus neh bermasalah. I can see that. Tapi akhirnya dia berjaya jugak stay sampai final n dapat tempat ketiga. Congratulation, Daus. Heheh… Sebenarnya, si Daus ni agak comel orang nya. Character dia yang suka buat something funny and make people laugh is the most valuable assets he should maintain for surviving in the industries. :) mmg diakui, suara dia agak kureng berbanding peserta2 lain. Tapi effort dia mmg patut dapat pujian. But for this final concert, I really satisfied with his performance and voice. Dengan lagu “Doktor Pakar Cinta” and “Kenapa”, I think he deserve to be as second runner up. Both lagu agak catchy tapi suits him well. Terperasan jugak ms Daus bawak lagu “Doktor Pakar Cinta” tu suara dia ada ala2 macam Yusry sikit. Huhu… n Lagu “Kenapa” tu pulak, I perasan suara dia mcm okay. Tak macam dalam concert before2 neh. Uhu… n looking at the video clip, I sgt suka dengan idea vid clip tu. Sgt menarik n lain dari yang lain. Walaupun orang kata, ala bodoh2 bangang sikit, tapi I rasa the idea was great. Differ from others. Itula yang industri nak cari. Lain dari yang lain. I think betul kata Pak Nil, Daus sesuai dengan genre lagu yang lucu-lucu and catchy. Semoga Daus terus mengekalkan genre dia yang unik n boleh kekal lama dalam industri.

4) Maulana : Pelapis untuk irama jazz Malaysia, yang boleh menggantikan Datuk Shiela Majid dan kumpulan Gerhana Ska Cinta. Maulana boleh menjadi seangkatan dengan kumpulan Tilu. Genre jazz sgt sesuai dengan vocal Mau. Dengan lagu “Susun Silang Kata” dan “RSVP”, Maulana did his best shot. Terutama sekali dalam lagu baru, RSVP. Dalam lagu “Susun Silang Kata”, for me dia buat biasa2 je. Tapi he did give the best shot for his new song, RSVP. Baju yang digunakan pun sesuai. Lagu RSVP mmg sesuai dengan Mau. Kehadiran one of Tilu’s group member (tak ingat nama dia) memberikan lagi kekuatan dalam lagu baru itu. Memang terbaik dari ladang. :) N the video clip was super duper marvelous. Dengan ilham ‘kembali ke zaman hitam putih’, RSVP mmg coolio giler. Like the songs, lyrics, voice n the vid. Seriously, sgt2 suka. I menjangkakan Maulana akan bertahan dalam industri sebab tak ramai artis baru yang meletakkan genre Jazz sebagai genre yang mereka perlu pertahankan. Dalam industri boleh dikira, berapa kerat jek artis yang mempertahankan irama jazz ni. N Mau boleh melangkah maju dengan genre tersebut. Dalam semua video clip finalist af8, I paling suka dengan RSVP from Mau. The idea was the greatest. Keep on going with Jazz genre, Maulana. :)

5) Iwan : Pemenang tempat kelima, Iwan, bagi I deserve tempat kelima atas persembahan yang biasa2 dalam konsert terakhir. Rasanya tempat kelima, sesuai dengan usaha yang Iwan berikan. Bagi lagu “Relaku Pujuk”, Iwan seharusnya diberikan pujian untuk persembahan yang memberansangkan. Tapi untuk lagu “VIP”, I rasa persembahan Iwan just fine. Takde wow factor pun. Tapi dalam video klip “VIP”, it was great! Dengan band yang mengiringi Iwan in that video clip, it was great. Walaupun takde ‘wow’ factor dalam video klip tu, tapi ia tetap boleh menarik perhatian penonton.

So, dah habis komen2 I pada persembahan finalist AF8. heheh… jadi pengkritik tak diundang jap… :) tp overall mmg puas hati dengan kosert final af8 terutama pemilihan lagu untuk para finalist. Harap2, semua lagu baru boleh menjadi hits kat corong2 radio terutama sekali lagu RSVP, Kenapa dan Ku ada Kamu…. Heheh… n harap bintang2 af 8 neh tak berhenti di sini. Teruskan usaha mereka sehingga mencipta nama yang diingati sampai bila2.
